Finca Soledad

We have a deep appreciation for the partnership we share with Pepe and family, and their stunning coffees from Finca Soledad. Over the past three years we have had the privilege to work with 14 coffees from Finca Soledad and Fincas Del Putushio, and the latest and final selection for 2026 is here. This is my personal most highly anticipated coffee offering of our 2026 year.

I have a history of saying something very similar about every washed Mejorado we have had from Finca Soledad. It is truly my favorite coffee profile on Earth. Anyone relatively familiar with Thankfully will know we are the Mejorado geeks. Finca Soledad Mejorado exists in its own realm of flavor profile and quality, to my perception. It has a beautifully red fruited and floral profile that is really uncommon for Mejorado in most cases. This iteration we are now releasing is the first time we have worked with Pepe's Wave Washed Mejorado. It has properties reminiscent of both the Nebula series (former Thankfully exclusive processing iteration) as well as the now well-renowned Tyoxy. The bright cranberry lemonade attribute of the Nebula collides beautifully with the immense cotton candy sweetness of Tyoxy, all the while having a colorfully floral backbone. This Wave Washed Mejorado has made me sit back and ask, "how is it possible this coffee can be this good?" This is the type of coffee that you call home to tell your parents, aunties, uncles, grandparents and next of kin about. This coffee, by my calculations, should end up in the history text books 20 years from now in the chapter about why Mejorado is the worlds greatest Arabica variety...

Okay in all seriousness, we are simply and utterly impressed by this coffee, and affirmatively regard it as our top must try selection of this year. I also have been sitting in this immense gratefulness for even the chance to have this coffee, because Finca Soledad experienced a naturally lower harvest this season, meaning the already small production was even more slim. The fact the Mejorado geek squad was blessed with this coffee at this time, is purely a dream!!
