Salomon Estela is yet another producer from the El Morito Producer's Association, a family-owned cooperative network that provides growing and processing knowledge and support to members and neighboring farms. With very driven and energized young leadership at the helm, and older generations providing wisdom and guidance, El Morito has quickly become well known for its excellent quality green since placing in Peru's CoE in 2022. We previously featured both Dominga Carrasco and Miguel Estela, Salomon's son, on our menu earlier on and were absolutely ecstatic about the quality potential coming from El Morito. Salomon's farm sits at 1860masl and has become known as the primary destination for origin trips from roasters and buyers wanting to visit the El Morito producer group, as Salomon provides excellent hospitality and a welcoming environment at his estate. Motivated by providing for his family and giving them ample opportunities to succeed, Salomon hopes to see his coffee recognized for its great quality by continually pursuing excellence in processing and drying.

This sparkling, squeaky clean natural is a perfect example of his efforts, offering a beautifully clean ripe fruit basket of watermelon and raspberries, making us desperately miss summer here in the Chicago winter. As the cup cools, the body gives way to deeply floral and complex Oolong tea, with bergamot and jasmine lasting long on the finish.
