In an unprecedented sweep at the Best of Panama (BOP) 2025, Hacienda La Esmeralda achieved two world record scores—98.00 points for Geisha Washed and 97.00 points for Geisha Natural—solidifying its legacy as one of the most exceptional producers of Panamanian Geisha coffee. These results were celebrated by 22 international judges during the Boquete tasting.

Hacienda La Esmeralda Noria Washed Geisha 4FB delivers an elegant and refined cup, with delicate violet and orange blossom aromatics, framed by bright jasmine and crisp red apple. Its vibrant acidity and silky body create a clean, floral-forward experience that highlights the finesse and complexity of Panamanian Geisha.

The washed process emphasizes clarity and precision: cherries are fully washed and slow-dried under on raised beds, preserving the coffee’s balanced structure and floral brightness.

About the Farm & Producer

Hacienda La Esmeralda, managed by the Peterson family, is the farm that put Panama Geisha on the world map—starting with its 2004 Best of Panama win. Located on the El Velo and Jaramillo lots in Boquete, Panama, and situated at ~1,650–1,900 m elevation, the estate benefits from cool, misty conditions and volcanic soils that allow the Geisha cultivar’s delicate aromatics to fully express.
