Janson X Los Alpes Washed Geisha Lot 493 is a bright and elegant coffee, offering layers of floral jasmine, sweet honey, and juicy nectarine, balanced by the crisp acidity of grapefruit. The silky mouthfeel and structured complexity create a refined and expressive cup.

This lot undergoes the Janson X drying process, an innovative method that combines advanced technology with traditional techniques. After the washed process, where cherries are depulped, fermented, and fully washed, the coffee is dried in temperature-controlled "dark rooms." These chambers regulate humidity and airflow, ensuring uniform drying, enhancing sweetness, and preserving the coffee’s delicate floral and citrus notes.

About the Farm & Producer

Janson Coffee, a family-owned estate in Volcán, Panama, has been producing exceptional coffee since 1941. Located at 1,600–1,700 meters above sea level, the farm benefits from volcanic soil and a cool microclimate, ideal for cultivating Geisha.

The Los Alpes plot is one of Janson’s most renowned growing areas, producing coffees with remarkable clarity and complexity. Lot 493 is a prime example of Janson’s dedication to innovation and quality, resulting in a Geisha with pristine acidity, vibrant aromatics, and a beautifully balanced profile.
