Meet HiU’s Los Lajones Washed Geisha Lot 5A—an elegant, floral-forward coffee that opens with notes of jasmine and bright citrus zest. As it cools, you’ll pick up the sweetness of peach alongside a gentle touch of bergamot, all rounded out by a honeyed finish. Expect a clean, tea-like body that highlights the hallmark qualities of Panamanian Geisha.
These handpicked Geisha cherries go through a carefully managed washed process: the skins and mucilage are removed, followed by a gentle rinse to preserve the coffee’s delicate aromatics. Finally, the beans are dried on raised beds, which lock in every nuance of flavour and ensure a balanced, layered profile in your cup.
Tucked away on the southwestern side of Volcán Barú in Chiriquí, Panama, Los Lajones is a small, high-elevation farm run by the legendary Graciano Cruz. Known for his eco-friendly methods and focus on quality, Graciano continues to push the boundaries of coffee production. The farm’s elevation, ranging from 1,800 to 2,100 meters, combined with minimal environmental impact, allows the Geisha variety to show off its best flavors.
