This might be my personal favorite release of this year. I do know it is from my favorite producer of the last two years. You see, Mario specializes in a special discipline of advanced processing - one that is the foundation of all that we procure at Promethium: tasteful processing. You've asked us before, what exactly defines tasteful processing and how do we source it so effectively. Well the short of it is, we bust our butts, but the more authentic answer is it's akin to contemporary art. I've always adored Adrian Brodie's breakdown of contemporary art in Wes Anderson's The French Dispatch. Adrian is a curator who describes to prospective investors the early onset of contemporary art as a choice to practice a self disciplined pursuit of oneself. Adrian explains the artist in question has all of the talent to illustrate concepts and scenes we'd understand like a sparrow, rather he chooses the harder and more disciplined pursuit of concepts he only understands - leaving the artistry and beauty to us to interpret. That's real art, and true beauty. That's the kind of work we've come to curate side by side with Mario. It's true origin and varaital driven coffee done in a way that further elevates that origin and varatal in a way we get to interpret as consumers - while still being coffee at the end of the day. The quintessence of Promethium sourcing practices. All that said, this coffee is simply just everything. Coffee shouldn't be this fun but it is when it's from Promethium and the friends we get to work with in this industry.
