What we're tasting:
Blueberry, Ripe Citrus, Coffee Blossom
About the coffee:
A clean, fruited natural from Kenya. Up front, there’s light blueberry notes accompanied with citrus juice.
As the cup begins to cool, the floral aspect of this coffee develops. While not overpowering, it adds a layer that’s not all that common to find in natural processed coffees.
A somewhat tealike mouthfeel makes this coffee a unique experience. Delicate, but well rounded and balanced. We met Stephen in April 2024 in Chicago at the Specialty Coffee Expo at a cupping with Crop to Cup.
His postivity and excitement is infectious. You’d be hard pressed to find someone as passionate about their craft as Stephen. We’re proud to partner with Stephen in featuring two of his coffees, which are the first coffees from Kenya that we’ve ever purchased from a single producer.
