Description
Produced at Buncho Washing Station in Ethiopia’s Sidama region, this lot is sourced from hundreds of smallholder farmers cultivating traditional Ethiopian heirloom varieties at elevations between 1,900 and 2,100 meters above sea level. Operated by Daye Bensa Coffee, the station was founded by brothers Asefa and Mulugeta Dukamo, whose work has helped connect local farmers to quality-focused processing and international markets. For this honey process, ripe cherries are carefully sorted before drying with a portion of the fruit mucilage left intact, allowing for a slow and controlled drying period on raised beds. The result is a coffee that reflects the high elevations, rich coffee heritage, and meticulous processing practices that have made Sidama one of Ethiopia’s most celebrated coffee-growing regions.
