Description

Pichincha is a coffee growing region outside of Quito. Although the elevation is much lower than much of the rest of Ecuador it is home to a unique micro-climate that creates cloud cover from morning through the afternoon. This constant cloud cover mimics the same plant struggling as high elevation does and forces the coffee plants to put more energy into fewer total coffee cherries. The result is vibrant and fruit forward profiles that are out of this world.

The Edmundo Vinueza microlot is only 9 69-kilo bags of green coffee comprising Edmundo's entire December 2015 harvest. We love this coffee for its rich and creamy mouthfeel. Flavors of sweet almond paste and fresh cream anchor the coffee while piquant gooseberry and cherry add a liveliness that will entrance you.
