Farm and Producer
Getachew Zeleke leads Dimtu Coffee Industry and Tero Farm in the Guji highlands. After a career in accounting, he moved into coffee production and developed washing and dry-milling facilities that give his team control over preparation through export.
Tero is a semi-forest coffee farm in Shakisso. Dimtu also works with surrounding growers, supporting both estate coffees and separately identified community selections. This washed lot is identified with Tero Farm.
Variety
74110 is a compact Ethiopian Arabica selection developed through the Jimma Agricultural Research Center’s work on coffee berry disease resistance and productivity. It originated from Metu-Bishari material and was released in 1979. Growing conditions and processing remain important to its cup expression.
74112 is a compact Ethiopian Arabica selection developed through the Jimma Agricultural Research Center’s work on coffee berry disease resistance and productivity. It originated from Metu-Bishari material and was released in 1979. Growing conditions and processing remain important to its cup expression.
Other local varieties refers to regionally maintained Arabica planting material that is not individually identified in this lot. These selections contribute to Ethiopia's diversity alongside named research-station releases.
Processing
In washed processing, ripe cherries are sorted and depulped, and the remaining mucilage is removed before drying. At Tero, the coffee is prepared through Dimtu's own processing facilities. Careful fermentation, washing, and drying help maintain a clear separation of the coffee's flavors.
