About the Farm
Finca Lérida is a historic coffee estate in Boquete, Chiriquí, Panama. The Amoruso family continues its coffee production across separately harvested and processed lots. This Lot 5 Gesha is credited to Maria Antonella Amoruso and prepared as a natural coffee.
Variety
Gesha, also spelled Geisha, is an Arabica variety with Ethiopian origins. It is valued for high cup-quality potential and floral aromatics, especially under suitable high-elevation growing conditions. Its expression also depends on cultivation, processing and roasting.
Processing
The whole coffee cherries dry with the fruit surrounding the seed. Once dry, the outer fruit layers are removed during hulling. Careful moisture management helps control the natural preparation.
