About Hacienda La Esmeralda
Bosque is a Jaramillo selection from the Peterson family's Hacienda La Esmeralda in Boquete, Panama. Coffee grows on cool, shaded slopes, with harvests separated into small lots. Jaramillo played a central role in revealing the distinctive qualities of the estate's Gesha.
Variety
Gesha is an Ethiopian landrace whose Panamanian T2722 lineage is associated with exceptional cup quality at high elevation. It is particularly known for delicate floral, jasmine, and peach-like aromatics.
Processing
This natural coffee dries with the cherry intact on raised beds in a climate-controlled room. Airflow, temperature and humidity are managed to guide moisture loss before the dried fruit is removed during hulling.
