Farm and Producer
Wanja Kersa is a smallholder coffee community in Gera, Jimma. Its cherries are processed at Atoma, also known as Telila Site Two, within Mike Mamo's coffee operation. Opened in 2023, Atoma works with local outgrowers and keeps production traceable to contributing farmer groups.
Variety
The listed selections are 74110, 74112 and 74140. These numbered names distinguish Ethiopian planting material. The first two are compact selections associated with the Jimma Agricultural Research Center's work on coffee berry disease resistance. Their presence in a lot does not determine a fixed flavor profile; farming and processing remain important.
Processing
Natural processing dries the coffee with the cherry surrounding the seed. Contact with the fruit during fermentation and drying can contribute to fruit expression and body; careful moisture management remains important.
