Farm and Producer

This Gesha comes through Inmaculada's Fellows Farms Project, which the Holguín family developed to work with partner growers beyond its own estate plantings. The program collaborates with farms in Huila and Cauca and helps manage processing and access to international buyers.

This selection is prepared as a natural coffee. Its Fellows designation identifies the partner-farm program rather than establishing that it grew on an Inmaculada estate plot.

Variety

Gesha, also spelled Geisha, is an Arabica variety with Ethiopian origins. It is valued for high cup-quality potential and floral aromatics, especially under suitable high-elevation growing conditions. Its expression also depends on cultivation, processing, and roasting.

Processing

Natural processing dries the coffee with the cherry surrounding the seed. Contact with the fruit during fermentation and drying can contribute to fruit expression and body; careful moisture management remains important.
