Getachew Zeleke (Tero Farm)

Description

After years working as an accountant, Getachew invested his savings in property, eventually purchasing his farmland in Shakisso, where he planted his first coffee trees in 2009. His operation has since developed into Dimtu Coffee Industry, encompassing Tero Farm, a washing station, and ultimately his own dry mill—giving Getachew unusually direct control from cherry selection through to export. That attention to detail is especially evident in this washed lot.

Cherries are handpicked at peak ripeness before float-sorting and depulping. They’re then fermented underwater for 36 hours before drying on raised beds for 10-14 days.
