THE STORY BEHIND

This coffee was sourced from the coffee growing region of Gedeo in Ethiopia. These beans were grown by various small holder producers in the Kochere Village. This coffee was grown at an altitude of 1,850 - 2,010 meters. This naturally processed coffee it is spectacularly balanced, creamy, juicy and fruit forward with notes of blueberries and stone fruit, like peach and apricot.
Ninety Plus is a vertically integrated coffee producer with an international reputation for rare and exclusive coffees. They operate a trading and distribution business that partners with green coffee farmers to produce and sell coffee to specialty coffee roasters and importers worldwide. They also own a farming and green coffee producing business that currently operates a 134 hectare coffee estate in Panama.

Since 2007 they have built “Ninety Plus” into a globally recognized brand for specialty boutique coffees. Ninety Plus coffees consistently receive ratings greater than 90 on the 100 point rating system of Coffee Review, and baristas have won numerous national and international competitions with Ninety Plus coffees. They work with customers in more than 40 countries.

The Level Up brand is being led by Ashenafi Argaw, former Director of the Sidamo Farmers Cooperative Union in Ethiopia and now Ninety Plus’s coffee development director in Ethiopia, where the company has worked with numerous regional farms since 2007.
