The Cocaine For Coffee Project began in 2012 with a simple but ambitious goal: help farming families replace coca with specialty coffee by creating a sustainable, long-term market for their harvest. Today, Cafe Kreyol continues that mission alongside our producer partners in Bolivia.

Through this project, seven families have successfully transitioned from growing coca to growing coffee—creating safer livelihoods, stronger communities, and a future built on quality rather than conflict. Every bag purchased directly supports this ongoing effort and proves that exceptional coffee can be a force for lasting change.

We’ve roasted this coffee to a medium profile to bring out a richer, sweeter cup with notes of chocolate, caramelized sugars, and ripe fruit while preserving the vibrant character of the high-altitude Bolivian coffee.

We serve whole bean coffee for maximum quality and freshness.

The Cocaine For Coffee Project is a program started in 2012 in Colombia. Cafe Kreyol has continued this operation with our partners in Bolivia. In total with this coffee, we have transitioned seven families from growing coca to growing coffee.
