Description

This coffee is decaffeinated using the Ethyl Acetate (EA) method, a naturally derived process that preserves flavor while gently removing caffeine. Ethyl acetate is an organic compound found in fruits like bananas and formed during sugar fermentation. To begin, green coffee is carefully sorted and lightly steamed to open the beans’ pores. The coffee is then immersed in a water-based solution with ethyl acetate, where the compound selectively bonds with caffeine and removes it over several hours. Once the caffeine is fully extracted, the beans are steamed again to eliminate any remaining traces of ethyl acetate.
